Analysis Guide

Learn how to analyze collected data in Mozaic Earth. This guide is geared towards ecologists and other specialists.

Overview

The Analysis section allows you to review collected field data, complete survey forms, and process images. This is where raw field data becomes structured, analyzed information.

Accessing Analysis

  1. Navigate to your project
  2. Go to the Analysis section
  3. You'll see your jobs to be done

Your Analysis Queue

Viewing Jobs

  • Pending: Surveys awaiting analysis
  • In Progress: Currently being analyzed
  • Completed: Finished analysis
  • Filter Options: By date, habitat type, assignee

Job Details

Each job shows:

  • Collection point location
  • Field data collected
  • Images captured
  • Assigned analyst
  • Due date

Completing Survey Forms

Reviewing Field Data

  1. Open a survey from your queue
  2. Review the field data collected:
    • Location and coordinates
    • Field notes
    • Initial observations
    • Photos taken

Completing Forms

  1. Navigate to the survey form
  2. Fill in required fields:
    • Habitat classification
    • Species identification
    • Condition assessment
    • Other relevant data
  3. Use AI recommendations if available
  4. Save your progress

AI-Driven Recommendations

Mozaic Earth provides AI-driven recommendations to accelerate analysis:

  • Habitat type suggestions
  • Species identification hints
  • Condition assessment guidance
  • Consistency checks

Viewing Images

  • View all photos for a collection point
  • Zoom and pan for detailed inspection
  • Compare multiple images
  • View image metadata (location, time, etc.)

Image Analysis

  • Annotate images with notes
  • Mark areas of interest
  • Add species identifications
  • Link images to survey form fields

Creating Notes

Adding Notes

  • Add general observations
  • Note any concerns or issues
  • Document special conditions
  • Provide context for analysis

Note Types

  • General Notes: Free-form observations
  • Field Notes: Notes from field collection
  • Analysis Notes: Your analysis observations
  • Quality Notes: Data quality concerns

Marking as Done

Completing Surveys

  1. Review all collected data
  2. Complete required survey forms
  3. Review and verify images
  4. Add any final notes
  5. Click "Mark as Done"

Quality Checks

Before marking done, verify:

  • All required fields completed
  • Images reviewed
  • Data consistency checked
  • Notes added if needed
