Bundling Assignments

Bundle collection events into assignments that can be assigned to users for completion.

What are Assignments?​

Assignments group collection events and points together for specific users or teams. They help organize field work and track completion progress.

Creating an Assignment​

  1. Navigate to your project's Assignments section
  2. Click "Create Assignment"
  3. Configure the assignment:

Assignment Details​

  • Assignment Name: Descriptive name (e.g., "North Site - Team A")
  • Assigned To: Select user(s) or team
  • Due Date: Set completion deadline
  • Priority: Set priority level

Selecting Collection Events​

  • Choose one or more collection events
  • All points from selected events will be included
  • You can filter to specific points if needed

Assignment Configuration​

  • Point Filtering:

    • Include all points from events
    • Select specific points manually
    • Filter by habitat type or area

  • Instructions: Add specific guidance for the assignee

  • Required Forms: Specify which survey forms must be completed

Managing Assignments​

Viewing Assignments​

  • List View: See all assignments with status and progress
  • Map View: Visualize assignment points
  • By User: Filter assignments by assigned user

Assignment Status​

  • Pending: Created but not yet started
  • In Progress: User has started collecting data
  • Completed: All points collected
  • Overdue: Past due date and incomplete

Tracking Progress​

  • View completion percentage
  • See which points are done
  • Monitor data quality
  • Track time spent

Assigning to Users​

Individual Assignment​

  • Assign to a single user
  • User receives notification
  • Appears in their mobile app

Team Assignment​

  • Assign to multiple users
  • Points can be distributed among team members
  • Team progress tracked collectively

Mobile App Integration​

Once assigned, users will see assignments in the mobile app:

  • View assigned points
  • Filter by assignment
  • Navigate to collection locations
  • Complete data collection
