Editing Sampling Strategy
Modify your auto-sampling strategy to fine-tune data collection points and ensure optimal coverage.
Why Edit Your Strategy?
While auto-sampling provides a good starting point, you may need to adjust it based on:
- Field accessibility
- Site-specific constraints
- Updated habitat information
- Resource availability
Editing Options
Adding Points
- Open your sampling strategy in map view
- Click "Add Point"
- Click on the map where you want to add a collection point
- The point will be added to your strategy
Removing Points
- Select a point on the map
- Click "Remove Point" or press Delete
- Confirm removal
Moving Points
- Select a point on the map
- Drag it to the new location
- The point coordinates will update automatically
Bulk Editing
- Select Multiple Points: Use the selection tool to select multiple points
- Bulk Delete: Remove multiple points at once
- Adjust Density: Increase or decrease sampling density in specific areas
Advanced Editing
Excluding Areas
- Draw exclusion zones on the map
- Points within excluded areas will be removed
- Useful for inaccessible or irrelevant areas
Adjusting by Habitat Type
- Filter points by habitat type
- Adjust density for specific habitats
- Ensure adequate representation
Importing Custom Points
- Upload a CSV or GeoJSON file with custom points
- Points will be added to your strategy
- Useful for incorporating existing survey locations
Validation
After editing, review:
- Coverage: Ensure adequate spatial coverage
- Distribution: Check distribution across habitat types
- Accessibility: Verify points are accessible for field work
- Statistics: Review updated sampling statistics
