2.0 - Data Collection Overview

This is where strategy meets the soil. This section focuses on the data collection process, using the Mozaic Earth Mobile App to collect ground truth data. Our goal is to make data collection seamless and scientifically robust, regardless of the field team's ecological experience.

In this section, we will cover:​

  • 2.1 - App Onboarding: Setting up your account and project access before heading into the field .

  • 2.2 - Data Collection: Navigating to pre-defined checkpoints using the built-in compass and completing guided tasks .

  • 2.3 - Missions: Utilising assigned or "open" missions to divide the workload between multiple collectors and prevent duplication of work .

  • 2.4 - Data Upload: Syncing your field data via a stable Wi-Fi connection to ensure all evidence is available for ecological analysis on the dashboard .
